Palexpo is located 500 meters from Geneva International Airport.
It is possible to walk directly to the congress center, or you may
take the following buses:
BUS 18: Airport to Gd-Saconnex Place (8 minutes)
Bus 5: From Gd-Saconnex Place to Palexpo (3 minutes)
Entry to the building for the congress is through Gate 5.
We would like to remind you to arrange your hotel accommodation

REGISTRATION AND HOSPITALITY
The Registration Desk will be situated at the Palexpo Conference
Center, and will open on Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at 08:00 for Workshop
Participants only and from 11:00 for Congress participants until
19:00.
The Registration Desk will then be open as follows:
Wednesday, August 7, 2002 to Saturday, August 10, 2002 from 07:30
every day until 18:30
Sunday, August 11, 2002 : Closed (Optional Tours Day, Palexpo is
closed)
Monday, August 12, 2002 to Thursday, August 15, 2002 from 07:30
every day until 18:30
Please register upon arrival in order to receive your kit containing
your program and abstract books, personal name badge, etc. Please
remember to wear your name badge to all Conference activities and
social events.
Kuoni Congress will operate a hospitality desk in Palexpo and will
provide full tourist services such as hotel accommodation, rent-a-car,
tours etc.
SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
A very exciting and diverse program has been prepared for you, and
we are looking forward to your active participation at the various

OPENING SESSION
The Opening Ceremony and Ewald Lecture will take place on Tuesday,
August 6, 2002 at 19:00 hours at the Noga Hilton Hotel. This will
be followed by the Welcome Reception.

PARKING
Parking is available at the Palexpo Conference Center. The parking
rate is CHF 12.00 per day. You can order a parking sticker from
the conference center (by e-mail to jutta.wieprecht@palexpo.ch,
or fax +41 22 795 01 00 or mail PO Box 112, CH-1218 Grand-Sconnex,
Geneva, Switzerland) . Alternatively you may use the parking meters,
for which the fee is CHF 1.20 per hour.
LOCAL TRANSPORT
Participants may travel free of charge on Geneva Public Transport
between August 6-15, 2002 when wearing their Congress Badge.
Palexpo is served by bus number 5 which runs regularly throughout
the day and stops directly outside the following hotels:
Intercontinental - Cornavin - Suisse - Bernina - Warwick - Cristal
- Strasbourg - Royal Manotel - Auteuil Manotel - Edelweiss Manotel
- Ascot Manotel
The Hotel Epsom is at about 7-10 min. walk to Cornavin Station where
participants can catch bus number 5.
The following hotels have a free shuttle bus to Palexpo:
Movenpick - Ramada - Tulip Inn
Swissair Guest House and the Ramada, catch bus 10 to the airport,
which is only a few minutes by foot from Palexpo.
From Cite Universtaire to Palexpo, take bus number 3 (direction
CHAMP D'ANIER), change in Bel-Air and take bus number 5 (direction
PALEXPO).
To return to Cite Universtaire: bus No. 5 (blue) in the direction
of "HOPITAL". After approximately 25 minutes, at the bus
stop BEL-AIR disembark and change bus. Change from bus number 5
to bus number 3 (pink) at Bel-Air (approximately 25 minutes from
Palexpo) to the last bus stop.
